Britannia Classic 2011
April 1st, 2011
To honour the town the 3rd annual event will be named as THE BRITANNIA CLASSIC formerly referred to as the Gold Rush Challenge. Gold was never extracted but Britannia was the world’s largest copper producer for years. Today the currency is the $4000
in CASH for the top competitors of Open, Junior, Masters and Female classes.

The Britannia Beach Event has become synonymous with the new progressive forms of downhill skateboarding. We are excited to announce the event is expanding to add a third day. The downhill skateboarding portion of the festivities will be held in Britannia Beach with camping in Squamish, BC on May 27th, 28th and 29th 2011. The event is the most aggressive, technical and spectacular annual Downhill Skateboard Race held in North America. The course is over 1000ft of vertical in 3 km, 3 massive hairpins totaling 5 corners, 1 chicane and gravity fed speeds of 60 mph/100 kph.

REGISTRATION will be $200 for 3 days of riding and OPENS soon here on We are also planning an awesome camp site with food and entertainment. If you would like to volunteer for the event please contact us @
